“There is an inner beauty about a woman who believes in herself, who knows she is capable of anything that she puts her mind to. There is a beauty in the strength and determination of a woman who follows her own path, who isn’t thrown off by obstacles along the way. There is a beauty about a woman whose confidence comes from experiences; who knows she can fall, pick herself up, and move on.”
"Jealousy is a disease, love is a healthy condition. The immature mind often mistakes one for the other, or assumes that the greater the love, the greater the jealousy — in fact, they’re almost incompatible; one emotion hardly leaves room for the other. Both at once can produce unbearable turmoil."
When I first met you, you were a man at war with the world. But I was instantly captivated by you. I saw behind your sullen, guarded gaze a story that could move the heart and change the world. A story of heartbreak, defeat, and rebirth. You were haughty, critical, and aloof. The type of man that I vowed to never love, but secretly knew would be the end of me.
But I was wrong.
You are not the end, but the beginning.
I really wanted to hate you, to keep you at arm’s length. But I found I liked your smile very much. When you smile, I catch a fleeting glimpse of the man you might have been, if the world had been a different place.
But darling, you are perfect. Perfect for me, and that’s all that matters.
My boyfriend is a smartypants. ;)
Seize Fate: in fact, i think it takes a higher tier of intelligence to be able to see the world’s evils, yet still see the light, and try to find a way to make their dream a reality. not the sulking, lethargic “intellectuals” who complains all day about how they can’t do shit. with that mindset, they really won’t be able to accomplish anything.
Seize Fate: so i’m pretty defiant against my friend’s claim that ignorance is golden (ignorance is actually yellow; knowledge is golden. most people just don’t appreciate it) and knowledge ruins the life and mind of those who possess it. …how can anyone in their right mind claim that einstein, copernicus, newton, locke, or any of the revolutionary thinkers’ minds are ruined? even if they’ve sacrificed their life for it, how can they say that those people would have it any other way? i think that quote is just the fallen intellectual’s way of making other intellectuals seem miserable because his life sucks.
